Set in the rolling North-Eastern countryside, Stobo Castle is a Health and Leisure Club that offers true relaxation amidst a lavish environment, a fact that is strongly reflected in the building design.
Cold cathode was used in the long recessed coffers above the swimming pool to diffuse light across the vaulted ceiling, creating a continuous and smooth wash of light, which even stands out during daytime operation. ACDC IP Covelite was the obvious choice for this application, due to the longevity of the system and its suitability for use in wet areas. An aluminium reflector tray with IP65 control gear and lamps was mounted within the coves to improve lighting performance and allow rapid installation.
