Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide opened its first W Hotel in the Middle East, in partnership with owners J&A Jaidah Holdings. The lighting was designed by DHA Design and features a selection of products from ACDC, to provide dramatic lighting effects that, quite literally, cannot be ignored.

Sparkling by the crystal blue waters of the Arabian Gulf and set against a breathtaking exotic desert landscape, the W Doha Hotel & Residences is located in the heart of Doha, on the Qatar peninsula, where majesty meets metropolitan style. It is the first W Hotel designed by United Designers, who created a series of spaces that 'challenge the expectations of the modern day traveller'.

W Hotel features 291 guest rooms, including 31 suites and 154 residences. The brand's signature 'Living Room' experience and Bliss Spa are complemented by a spice market restaurant experience, poolside shisha lounge, champagne bar and luxury retail space. The brand celebrates playfulness and cutting edge design in a Doha setting – and the end result is bold, lively and infused with energy.

ACDC's cold cathode was used throughout the guest rooms, offering long-life, seamless and an excellent even 3000K warm white illumination.
